PERT-AL-PERT Technical  & Performance detail.

PERT is a kind of modern plastic material whose construction is quite similar to a tangled wool structure - elastic but extremely durable.

PERT is similar to PEX but due to the fact that PEX is not tangled, it is not so resistant to deformation. This is confirmed by tests whose results show that PEX pipes can withstand up to 1000 test hours at a temperature of 95°C and a 2,5MPa pressure, whereas PERT achieves 6000 hours.

Our PERT-AL-PERT pipe has a multilayer construction (MCLP). The core consists of an aluminium pipe which is ultrasonic and longitudinally lap welded, this, on its own, can withstand a pressure of approximately 10 bar.

After adding the inner and outer layers made of PERT, which is attached to the aluminium with the special adhesive layer, we achieve pipe that can operate under the simultaneous impact of the pressure and temperature at the level of (respectively) 10 bar and 95°C.

This unique combination of plastic and conventional material makes pipe that is characterised by the advantages of conventional and plastic pipes with simultaneous elimination of their disadvantages.

Our PERT-AL-PERT pipe system is based on MLCP pipe and is:

  • Durable – estimated on a minimum life of 50 years
  • Sure – the system is 100% leak proof
  • Energy-saving – low losses of pressure, low thermal conductivity
  • Hygienic –PERT is non toxic and neutral in relation to water and is 100% recyclable
  • Universal - the system is recommended for use in the below types of installation:

o   cold/hot utility water

o   central heating (radiator connections)

o   floor and wall heating

o   ice water

o   compressed air

o   flexible - pipes can be bent without any supports

o   bending radius is on the level of 4-5 x Dn

o    thermally stabile – very low thermal expansion coefficient (0.025mm/mK), is comparable with values characteristic for steel or copper pipes

o   resistant to oxygen diffusion: The pipe complies with the German DIN 4726 standard which has determined that an oxygen diffusion rate of less than 0.1 mg/l/day at a water temperature of 40°C is considered as a safe level to prevent corrosion

o   it is possible for this pipe to be connected with any other type of pipe

o   easy for installation thanks to its low weight and very sure connection system

o   The pipe is approved in East European countries, Germany (SKZ) and the UK (WRAS) and meet actual UE standard EN21003

o   The pipe is manufactured in Europe to ISO9000 standards and accordingly is covered by a manufacturers 50 year guarantee
